Fab BC Wineries Offering Free Delivery

Keen to still get your favourite BC wines during lockdown? Fear not, many BC wineries are offering free delivery across the province. Sharing some under $30 favourites from three wineries I love.

April is BC Wine Month. And this year, we celebrate BC wines from home instead of in winery tasting rooms. I’m a little late to sharing this with you, but there’s still a few days left—and really, every month should be BC Wine Month, don’t you think?

As we navigate COVID-19, many BC wineries are offering deals and free delivery and for BC residents. So for anyone not comfortable going to the liquor store to get their Pinot Noir or Rosé, the wineries have got your back! Also, patio season weather has been making an early appearance, so you might want to stock up on your Rosé to sip and savour on your balcony or in your backyard. Or to celebrate date night or a birthday. Because… STAY HOME.

A few of my favourite BC wineries are on the list of those offering free delivery. You’ve seen them in my affordable summer and holiday wines posts, and they all offer excellent wines for a #GetThrfity under $30. Their info and my wine picks are below.

(While the Brit and I are still feeling comfortable visiting our local BCL—and they have a great selection of BC wine—you better believe I’ve bookmarked all of the below, just in case.)

Blue Grouse Estate Winery

Located in the gorgeous Cowichan Valley, Blue Grouse Estate Winery is home to lovely Rosé and Pinot Noir. The Quill Pinot Noir is currently out of stock, but the Q Red ($26) is an excellent sub for the pinot. The Quill Rosé ($23) is basically the perfect spring/summer wine, and the Q White is currently 25% off. (Case, anyone?) BC residents will receive free delivery for 6+ bottle orders.

Okanagan Crush Pad

Okanagan Crush Pad Winery is home to Free Form, Haywire and Narrative organic wines in Summerland, BC. Their focus is on sparkling, still, and natural wines from organic grapes. All can be ordered at their online shop, and may I recommend the Narrative Cab Franc ($45 — not under $30, but a nice treat!), and the Haywire Pink Bub ($27.90)?

Summerhill Pyramid Winery

Summerhill wines have been popping up in my life for the last few years. Specifically, the Cipes Brut ($28). I used to work for an executive that grew up in Kelowna, and it’s one of her favourites. And for good reason, it’s an excellent BC bubbly. Summerhill has some lovely, #GetThrifty organic wines, like the Alive Red ($25) and the Marechal Foch ($23)—a new favourite for me. There’s also a Hunker Down Wine-Care Package that features a selection of the team’s favourite feel-good wines.

Time to Buy BC

During these unprecedented times, it’s important to support and give power to our local economy. Visit timetobuybc.ca for a listing of BC wineries, craft breweries and cideries to consider supporting to keep BC business healthy.

Happy BC Wine Month!

Though I have partnered with the above wineries before, this is not a sponsored post. I just like BC wine and want you to be able to get some too! And please, STAY HOME.
