Post-hike stretching at the top of Arthur’s Seat!
First of all, thanks for visiting West Coast City Girl! I’m Yasmine and I’m so pleased you’ve stopped by.
West Coast City Girl started out as a place to share random musings and recipes during a crazy cleanse back in 2011. Over the years it has become a place where I share my love of travel and food. All with the aim of helping you enjoy both in a fun and budget friendly fashion. Because, let’s face it, most of us are on a budget. It’s completely feasible to be practical and still enjoy all the good things in life.

A little bit about me… Very much a city girl, I’m more of a glamper than a camper. But I love the beauty of the outdoors and a good hike. It’s hard not to when you live in Vancouver. By trade, I am an Executive Assistant and Office Manager. It’s a busy job that I balance out with the yoga and travel that feed my soul (and my need for good food and wine – or beer or whisky!) And yes, I’m one of those Vancouverites that loves yoga. So much so that I became a teacher. I would be lost without my mat and it goes where I go.

Over the last 12 years, I’ve been to sixteen countries, and I seem to have a love affair with Scotland – I’ve been six times! Along with travelling around, I love to be a tourist in my town.

I hope this blog inspires you to try new things and get out there to enjoy our beautiful world. Thanks for visiting and reading along!
