Thanks for visiting West Coast City Girl! I’m Yasmine and I’m so pleased to e-meet you.

This blog is all about enjoying what the world has to offer while keeping well and staying on budget. I recently finished paying off credit debt, and if you live in Canada, yes, that’s me on the poster and in the testimonial commercial. I’ve made it my mission to live life knowing that one doesn’t have to spend a fortune or sacrifice wellness to have an amazing journey.

West Coast City Girl started out as a place to share random musings and recipes during a crazy cleanse back in 2011. Over the years it has become a place to share my love of travel, food + beverage and yoga, and some affordable #GetThrifty tips for it all. More recently, the blog dovetailed into the City Girl Talks podcast.

I hope this blog inspires you to try new things and enjoy our beautiful world. Thanks for visiting and reading along!

A little bit about me

A freelance content writer and certified yoga teacher by day, I’m also a regular contributor for Tourism Vancouver and the BC Ale Trail‘s blogs.

Very much a city girl, I’m more of a glamper than a camper. But I love the beauty of the outdoors and a good hike. My partner (The Brit) and I love to play tourist in our town and firmly believe the best way to travel is to live like a local wherever we are.

I balance out my busy job with the yoga and travel that feed my soul (and my need for good food and wine—or beer or whisk(e)y!) Yes, I’m one of those West Coasters that loves yoga. So much so that I became a certified teacher. I would be lost without the time I spend on my mat—it goes where I go.
