    It’s a rainy Vancouver Sunday, but it’s Oscar telecast day, so I am choosing to pretend that I am in (what I assume is) sunny California. I can’t wait to see the pretty dresses and the handsomely dressed men and to find out who wins what. (If Anne Hathaway doesn’t win for Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables, something is wrong with the world.)     The Scottish Invasion – Part One – Seattle and Pulled Pork

    Today was a sad day for two reasons: 1) Sean is away for a week for work; and 2) Our friends from Scotland are now on a plane back to the UK. So, after a week of a full house, I have it all to myself, and I’m still uncertain how I’m feeling about that.     Wind, rain, food

    Today is our last full day in Edinburgh before we go back to London before flying home to Vancouver. I’m very sad to be leaving, but I must say, I’m not going to miss the damn wind and torrential rain… (And I’m from Vancouver.  )Windblown Yesterday, we were meant to go to Glasgow to visit my friend Kyle and watch a hockey game, but that was put on hold and then cancelled as there were gale force winds (102 miles/hour!) across the south of Scotland and Northern England.
