It’s been a while since I’ve been back here. Since the last post, wedding happened – yay! :), I got offered and took said offer of a great new job – another yay!, went to the UK on our honeymoon, met some great new people at work, went to Vegas, and now it’s almost Christmas. Yay to all except how quickly the past few months have gone by.
So hello, blog. Nice to see you again. Two people have inspired me to get back here. My friend Steve and my “new” boss and friend – Shiv. Steve is battling a tumour with humour and radiation and is officially my new hero even though he’s not supposed to be trying to be a hero about the entire thing. Shiv is bravely navigating the world of our very large office – she started month before I did and I feel like we are winning at our new jobs. They each have a blog and they actually have a lot in common. I can share Steve’s (http://crushthetumourwithhumour.blogspot.com/) as I think he would want me to but Shiv would probably kick my butt (writers can be touchy;)! But she sent me a quote that I will share:
“Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change. Life’s too short to be anything but happy.”
And now to do laundry and clean the table for tomorrow’s cocktail party.
